Lluis Companys was slow to take the kick. During this time KaoS Futbol Club's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 16th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierluigi Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Brough's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Lebas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Garth Brough came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Australian Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Brough couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Lebas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Jarrod Mcmillan got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some careless play in the Australian Youth Academy defense, Igor Lebas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keylor Navas. The Australian Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keylor Navas should have stopped the shot. Ramon Chus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Igor Lebas managed to get in a good position for a shot. KaoS Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Lebas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keylor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Lebas scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keylor Navas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramon Chus kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Keylor Navas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Lebas went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute of the match, Fletcher Baba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierluigi Buffon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pierluigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fletcher Baba in the 92nd minute of the match. Rufus Roach kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hermengildo Mambru hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. León Ponzio kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
