In the 55th minute Alexander Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Allbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Alexander Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot. If Jerry Nolan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Albirex Niigata FC booed when THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Paris didn't get a good kick on the ball.
