After some careless play in the Club Atlético Magallanes defense, Remo Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimeno Nevada. The Club Atlético Magallanes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Nevada should have stopped the shot. Jimeno Nevada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Jan Sierocki struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Caio Ponte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Magallanes. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Magallanes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
