The audience thought a goal was coming when Viorel Iacobescu got free with André Nordmark in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Fagrell in the 6th minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Niculae Rădvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelian Odobescu got free with André Nordmark in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viorel Iacobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils Falkrans kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Niculae Rădvan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Björkman's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, FC Blueskatterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvald Boström to maneuver through the defense. Sever Crăiniceanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Nordmark made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Viorel Iacobescu sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Blueskatterna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aurelian Odobescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s players had a chance to rest. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Niculae Rădvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Löv in the 28th minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s André Nordmark threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aurel Teodoroiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th play minute Aurel Teodoroiu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised André Nordmark. 1-0. André Nordmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Teodoroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Viorel Iacobescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving André Nordmark. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Björkman in the 42nd minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Niculae Rădvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, FC Blueskatterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ola Haegg to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Aurelian Odobescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Nordmark skillfully saved the ball. FC Blueskatterna's André Nordmark couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Aurelian Odobescu shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 44th minute, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Sandu Porumbescu replaced Emilian Şoimaru. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Costin Pupăzan was substituted for Filip Braia. FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Cristi Ciprian replaced Viorel Iacobescu. If Aurelian Odobescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Blueskatterna's Östen Wik was substituted for Joachim Bergman. Niculae Rădvan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Fagrell's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Björkman in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Rădvan saved FC PIETROSUL -MM- from getting behind. Cristi Ciprian scored 4-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Nordmark, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Björkman got free with Niculae Rădvan in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
