Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nino Manfredi in the 6th minute of play. Robert Abbondanzieri came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins. But to his dismay, Alfredo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Martins in the 13th minute of play forced Deportivo Medievales's goalkeeper Robert Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Alfredo Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marquês de Herval fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Toby Major hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Robert Abbondanzieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 26th minute of play. After 33 minutes Deportivo Medievales's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Moussa Kabre who took care of the corner kick. In the 35th match minute, Deportivo Medievales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Engelborgh to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augustinas Gavorskis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dida Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Augustinas Gavorskis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augustinas Gavorskis to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorian Moraes got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-3 in the right cross in the 51st match minute before Robert Abbondanzieri had time to react. Dorian Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deportivo Medievales's Robert Abbondanzieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Medievales from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Augustinas Gavorskis came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Medievales made a substitution. Eriberto Dalmai replaced Joseph Engelborgh. Deportivo Medievales's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Sazon in the 66th minute. Robert Abbondanzieri made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Dorian Moraes sent off a good shot on target. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nino Manfredi in the 72nd minute of play. After 81 played minutes Deportivo Medievales got a freekick which was hit by Tytus Ziemniak. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Medievales's Tytus Ziemniak got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Robert Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Marquês de Herval's Dorian Moraes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robert Abbondanzieri. Robert Abbondanzieri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The Marquês de Herval supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marquês de Herval would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
