Apostolis Porros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 17 minutes in the game, Galo van Basten dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Sport Club Cevada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Correia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galo van Basten in the 25th minute of play forced Sport Club Cevada's goalkeeper Apostolis Porros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Cevada's zone, Lionel-Andrés Messi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
