Spectators: 7721 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Olgierd Kowalski took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the BYDGOSTIA defense, Roch Zuraw kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zbyszko Leper. The BYDGOSTIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszko Leper should have stopped the shot. MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's Sebastiano Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olgierd Kowalski in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Olgierd Kowalski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastiano Rossi. MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olgierd Kowalski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Zbyszko Leper made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Sylwester Kempka sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by BYDGOSTIA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Beniamin Sroki was slow to take the kick. During this time MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's Beniamin Sroki to fire away a dangerous shot which Zbyszko Leper despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zbyszko Leper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Gargasz in the 20th minute of play. Sebastiano Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Kowalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's Roch Zuraw nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zbyszko Leper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. BYDGOSTIA's attentive Hilario Dalmai managed to snatch the ball when Dobromir Miazga made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC booed when BYDGOSTIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Dalmai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beniamin Sroki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th match minute, BYDGOSTIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Dalmai to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Beniamin Sroki from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Zbyszko Leper's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. BYDGOSTIA's Mariusz Warka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Franco Baresi in the 37 minute of the game. Sebastiano Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olgierd Kowalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a little luck, BYDGOSTIA's Zbyszko Leper got control of the ball when Sylwester Kempka tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sylwester Kempka to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, BYDGOSTIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariusz Warka to maneuver through the defense. In the 51st minute, Franco Baresi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olgierd Kowalski might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastiano Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olgierd Kowalski ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Olgierd Kowalski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sebastiano Rossi. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 61st minute, Mariusz Warka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, BYDGOSTIA's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Zuraw came free, but Zbyszko Leper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of BYDGOSTIA booed when MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Baresi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roch Zuraw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Sylwester Kempka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BYDGOSTIA made a substitution. Yu Ran Fan replaced Dariusz Smuskiewicz. Zbyszko Leper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roch Zuraw in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Sylwester Kempka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zbyszko Leper. BYDGOSTIA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sylwester Kempka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 91 minutes into the match, Sylwester Kempka notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of BYDGOSTIA's Zbyszko Leper. Zbyszko Leper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, MERAVIGLIOSI SOSNOWIEC's Franco Baresi got a free kick in the 93rd minute. BYDGOSTIA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
