Gualter Roriz came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Fatih-Sultan Mehmet. But to his dismay, Fatih-Sultan Mehmet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Levander in the 17th minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Gualter Roriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Borussia Dortmund's Baltazar Clavijo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualter Roriz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gualter Roriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Clavijo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gualter Roriz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltazar Clavijo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Yao Zhan Sang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amedeo De Matteis went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After 37 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Yakup Sargut. Gualter Roriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Clavijo in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Grover came free, but Gualter Roriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Borussia Dortmund's Fernando Grover fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andaka Mula made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Delta FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kong Xi Liang to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Laborda to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Álvaro Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yao Zhan Sang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Grovers short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Gualter Roriz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fatih-Sultan Mehmet got free with Gualter Roriz in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Borussia Dortmund were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Delta FS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yakup Sargut took the corner. In the 66th minute, Baltazar Clavijo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualter Roriz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Walter Samuel hit a great ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Fernando Grover managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Grover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Delta FS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Borussia Dortmund's performance. The match ended with a win for Borussia Dortmund.
