Rafail Rusev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agum Sopandi made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Rafail Rusev sent off a good shot on target. After 15 played minutes Valette Stars got a freekick which was hit by Armand Plaza. Leonides Policarpio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrien Tanneau. Valette Stars's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adrien Tanneau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feijo Freire's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valette Stars's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonides Policarpio was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Tigers's players had a chance to rest. In the 22nd minute Guillaume Chaine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agum Sopandi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilibald Pečinka in the 25th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Golden Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valette Stars the free kick. Simon Krejza hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feijo Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Valette Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonides Policarpio who took care of the corner kick. Vilibald Pečinka made a great header on Golden Tigers's corner, it was just that Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau managed to reach the ball for a save. Vilibald Pečinka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Adrien Tanneau made a huge save. A collision led to Valette Stars getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fabian Walme hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Vilibald Pečinka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valette Stars made a substitution. Julien Chassot replaced Oğuzkan Kamuran. Fahrettin Türel kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Walme during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Fahrettin Türel got a free kick in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillaume Chaine in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agum Sopandi saved Golden Tigers from getting behind. Golden Tigers's Agum Sopandi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Vidigal in the 84th minute of play. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilibald Pečinka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Celso Vidigal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agum Sopandi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Guillaume Chaine sped through Golden Tigers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agum Sopandi. If Celso Vidigal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valette Stars's Fabian Walme got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Julien Chassot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valette Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Valette Stars's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
