Panagiotis Kaliasis scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yao Zhan Sang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Güralp Uğurtan made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Fernando Grover sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Grover stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Kolopetinitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Tsabis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. After 92 played minutes Kolopetinitsa got a freekick which was hit by Theagenis Theodorakoglou.
