After 19 minutes Grêmio FBPA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Milán Seres who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Szittyák SE rege defense, Pipis Karapatakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Jaume. The Szittyák SE rege fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Jaume should have stopped the shot. József Földvári sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. József Földvári blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jardel Sanches having to make a save. Pipis Karapatakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pipis Karapatakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnold Cziránku hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. A collision led to Szittyák SE rege getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Arnold Cziránku hit a great ball. With his leg Reynaldo Jaume managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pipis Karapatakis kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 59thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Szittyák SE rege's keeper Reynaldo Jaume was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Nike Cavia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pipis Karapatakis got free with Reynaldo Jaume in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nike Cavia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Sanches having to interfere. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nike Cavia in the 75th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Sebestyén Soós came free, but Jardel Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebestyén Soós in the 82nd minute of the match. Jardel Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebestyén Soós, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Filiph Biörling's late challenge caught a Szittyák SE rege's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filiph Biörling helped the player get up and apologised. Filiph Biörling kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's Ted Hoogenkamp was substituted for Filiph Biörling. In the 92nd match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiph Biörling to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio FBPA's zone, Rex Fynn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Sanches came out of the goal and Rex Fynn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Szittyák SE rege supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio FBPA's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio FBPA.
