Wilson Andrade started the match with the kick off. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 7thth minute of the game Emilio Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GLADIADORES's Thomas Ravelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Wilson Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the match, Emilio Machado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of GLADIADORES's Thomas Ravelli. Thomas Ravelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. GLADIADORES's César Souto suffered a sore thigh after 15 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Murillo Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murillo Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. GLADIADORES's Paşa Safih was substituted for César Souto. The supporters of GLADIADORES booed when Werneck FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baybars Tayguner in the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Wilson Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GLADIADORES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Machado in the 28th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paşa Safih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Machado couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Machado to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Andrade in the 55th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Felix Donciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Werneck FC - DMZ's Felix Donciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Andrade in the 62nd minute of play. Werneck FC - DMZ's Laerte Porto was substituted for Basílio Baiano. In the 64th match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Stein to maneuver through the defense. Murillo Fontes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Felix Donciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 90th minute, Marcel Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Joélson Amaral could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Thomas Ravelli however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Sérgio Donato got a free kick in the 95th minute. GLADIADORES were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Werneck FC - DMZ for a fine match.
