The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Duarte Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Nuno in the 6th minute of play. Ceferino Miro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulisses Duarte in the 9th minute. The CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of C.A.Esparta booed when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses Duartes short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Ceferino Miro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ernst Giöck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Miro having to interfere. Ulisses Duarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Miro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulisses Duarte ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulisses Duarte's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ceferino Miro firmly grabbed it by the left post. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.Esparta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Brás was slow to take the kick. During this time CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gustavo Brás almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A.Esparta's Ceferino Miro did a great save. When Erasmo Beltza fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Esparta's protests and gave Erasmo Beltza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, C.A.Esparta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Beltza to maneuver through the defense. Golo Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Miro having to interfere. Ulisses Duarte was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 36 minutes into the game, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ceferino Miro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Ceferino Miro stood somewhat misplaced when Golo Duarte came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Golo Duarte kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ceferino Miro. That made the score 6-0 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Golo Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ulisses Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ceferino Miro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golo Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 64 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. C.A.Esparta's Ceferino Miro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulisses Duarte in the 69th minute of play. In the 78th minute Daniel Podwojski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Miro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land were awarded a corner. Gustavo Brás went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gustavo Brás almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A.Esparta's Ceferino Miro did a great save. In the 85th minute, Mauricio Tabor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Golo Duarte in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ceferino Miro saved C.A.Esparta from getting behind. If Golo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceferino Miro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golo Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A.Esparta's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land fully deserved thier win.
