The audience was convinced that João Pirani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kajetan Dec was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Vascogoianiense FC's Aírton Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gilmar Monteiro sped through Zawisza Bydgoszcz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kajetan Dec. Nelsinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir in the 45th minute of play.
The wind increased when Ömer Halisdemir made the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kajetan Dec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vascogoianiense FC made a substitution. Válbson Pontes replaced Falcão de Godoi. Kajetan Dec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pirani in the 60th minute of the match. Nelsinho Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Ömer Halisdemir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 71st match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Ömer Halisdemir took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho Leite. Nelsinho Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Gilmar Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Vascogoianiense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilmar Monteiro couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Válbson Pontes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Válbson Pontes got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gilmar Monteiro. In the 89th minute of the match, Gilmar Monteiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kajetan Dec saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Aírton Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vascogoianiense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kajetan Dec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 minutes, Gilmar Monteiro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vascogoianiense FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
