After some careless play in the Ciruel Academy defense, João Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacob Alavedra. The Ciruel Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacob Alavedra should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute João Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Alavedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Alavedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pirani in the 13th minute of play. Crispin Klander struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Nelsinho Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciruel Academy. Aírton Sousa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacob Alavedra. Ciruel Academy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jacob Alavedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Monteiro in the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ciruel Academy's zone, João Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Alavedra came out of the goal and João Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Monteiro in the 31st minute of play forced Ciruel Academy's goalkeeper Jacob Alavedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilmar Monteiro in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacob Alavedra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilmar Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, José Luis Torrente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacob Alavedra came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Vascogoianiense FC's Aírton Sousa. But to his dismay, Aírton Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Lucas Grijander made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Grijander in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vascogoianiense FC's Válbson Pontes was substituted for Falcão de Godoi. 67 minutes into the match, Ciruel Academy's goalkeeper Jacob Alavedra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aírton Sousa. João Pirani took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacob Alavedra. Jacob Alavedra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 85 minutes into the match, Ciruel Academy's goal looked a bit too open when João Pirani came free, but Jacob Alavedra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciruel Academy's Jacob Alavedra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Ciruel Academy from getting a goal against them. If Crispin Klander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vascogoianiense FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
