With an extended leg and a bit of luck Batıkan Muhsin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Kazimierz Gaszynski in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Oğuzalp Yetiş. Kajetan Dec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seçkin Öksüzoğlu in the 24th minute of play. Wieslaw Trzenzalski kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Kajetan Dec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurtuluş Senih, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The corner led Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Seçkin Öksüzoğlu to fire away a dangerous shot which Kajetan Dec despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Bihar was the one to do the kick off. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 52nd minute of play. If Ömer Halisdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
