Safet Hands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ás Ronaldo in the 12th minute. Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Norrlands Athen from getting a goal against them. If Måns Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernesto Emmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 26th minute of play. Ás Ronaldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Safet Hands came out and tried to block the shot, but Ás Ronaldo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ás Ronaldo in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Måns Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrlands Athen's supporters rose to their feet, but Måns Sandberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Emmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ás Ronaldo in the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Lebron was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Sebastián Boselli in the 50th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Norrlands Athen's Qian Zhen Sheng. Safet Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ás Ronaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Ás Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Safet Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Måns Sandberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Madison's Hugo Llin was substituted for Omar Osasun. Mete Gol scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Safet Hands, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Gilbert Hermansson replaced Måns Sandberg. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilbert Hermansson got free with Ernesto Emmanuel in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Qian Zhen Sheng hit a great ball. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Gol in the 71st minute of play. Gilbert Hermansson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ernesto Emmanuel made a huge save. Calle Bergfelt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ernesto Emmanuel came out and tried to block the shot, but Calle Bergfelt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 78th minute. Ege Træet hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Madison's goalkeeper Ernesto Emmanuel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calle Bergfelt. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilbert Hermansson in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Emmanuel saved Madison from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
