In the 11th minute of the match Montesacro FC got a corner. SIMvergüenzas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paolo Rossi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anthony Del Gatto was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 14 minutes into the game, Montesacro FC's Loco Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beto Rodríguez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. SIMvergüenzas's Beto Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Sjögren in the 22nd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in SIMvergüenzas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! If Sugih Linggawarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sugih Linggawarman, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Beto Rodríguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loco Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SIMvergüenzas's Beto Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Sjögren in the 39th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
