CAN ERZURUM's Rolando Betadur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 周斐俊 in the 32 minute of the game. 36 minutes into the game, Jacek Krzynowek threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sliema Dragons FC's Fabian Duca quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joar Scheie came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas. But to his dismay, Kim Bolas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sliema Dragons FC's Fabian Duca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jacek Krzynowek in the 41 minute of the game. Barrie Kerridge made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Sven-Olof Vestlund sent off a good shot on target. After 44 minutes Sliema Dragons FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Birkan Kayra who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sliema Dragons FC's goalie and right to Pan Wei Quan. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sliema Dragons FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 47th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Barrie Kerridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CAN ERZURUM's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Birkan Kayra in the 48th minute. After taking down the ball on CAN ERZURUM's corner Birkan Kayra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Barrie Kerridge quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Sven-Olof Vestlund made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Sven-Olof Vestlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CAN ERZURUM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Olof Vestlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barrie Kerridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from 周斐俊 in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CAN ERZURUM's Javier Zanetti. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sliema Dragons FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Birkan Kayra was slow to take the kick. During this time CAN ERZURUM's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Cássio Corrêa heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Sliema Dragons FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Fabian Duca hit a great ball. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Dejan Cassar replaced Kim Bolas. If Sven-Olof Vestlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute Sven-Olof Vestlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrie Kerridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Sliema Dragons FC's Dejan Cassar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joar Scheie. Joar Scheie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 78 minutes into the match, Sven-Olof Vestlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barrie Kerridge. Sliema Dragons FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Olof Vestlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Joar Scheie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dejan Cassar, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Barrie Kerridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dejan Cassar scored 2-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joar Scheie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CAN ERZURUM's Atabek Tecimen was substituted for Pan Wei Quan. CAN ERZURUM's Arda Turan was substituted for Javier Zanetti. Dejan Cassar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 93 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's goal looked a bit too open when Dejan Cassar came free, but Joar Scheie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrie Kerridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okanalp Doğu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sliema Dragons FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
