Luca Jivulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan got control of the ball when Mao Bin Ao tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ares FC -MM-'s Folkert Walregt was substituted for Jörgen Sundström. Miau Stars's Di Yue quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zé Augusto Maciel, made in the 18th minute of the game. Miau Stars's Flavinho Sousa suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Lucrețiu Cuculeanu fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ares FC -MM-'s protests and gave Lucrețiu Cuculeanu a yellow card for diving instead. Miau Stars made a substitution. Olavo Mota replaced Flavinho Sousa. In the 35th minute, Lucrețiu Cuculeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Miau Stars were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baal Ares made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, Miau Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Di Yue to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luca Jivulescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Ronaldo Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Miau Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. Miau Stars made a substitution. Kenneth Knutsson replaced Marco Veremundo. After a rather tough play, Miau Stars's Di Yue got a free kick in the 71st minute. Abdulkadir Eraslan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baal Ares went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Luca Jivulescu was a little too slow when Ronaldo Fenomeno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-3. Abdulkadir Eraslan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baal Ares's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Ares FC -MM- were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Miau Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karadeniz Otay took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Pete Wray heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Miau Stars eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
