In the 34th minute of the match, Armando Lore got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dave Clemente was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 43rd minute Joel Cordarrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Clemente made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Armando Lore sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ettore Placidi to make the kick off.
