Cedric Van Langhendoncx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Lluciano in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cedric Van Langhendoncx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute Cayetano Lluciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedric Van Langhendoncx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cedric Van Langhendoncx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Gwidon Czajka got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute, Gwidon Czajka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Fabien Canu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didi Papardelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabien Canus short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Didi Papardelas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Piquirenda FC's zone, Yazid Larnicol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Papardelas came out of the goal and Yazid Larnicol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Cayetano Lluciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lunar Park's Cedric Van Langhendoncx was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Piquirenda FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jilian Oosters in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Piquirenda FC were awarded a corner. Jilian Oosters went to the cornerflag to take it. 40 minutes into the match, Fabien Canu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas. Didi Papardelas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabien Canu got free with Didi Papardelas in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yazid Larnicol kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cayetano Lluciano charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cayetano Lluciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cayetano Lluciano hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Canu in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Piquirenda FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eugenio Bernal hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Eugenio Bernal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cedric Van Langhendoncx was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Roberto Iratze replaced Jilian Oosters. Piquirenda FC's Angelo Che was substituted for Filiberto Indartsu. After some careless play in the Piquirenda FC defense, Fabien Canu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Didi Papardelas. The Piquirenda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Didi Papardelas should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Piquirenda FC booed when Lunar Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Domalik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Roberto Iratze sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cedric Van Langhendoncx skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Lunar Park's Cedric Van Langhendoncx got control of the ball when Eugenio Bernal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Fabien Canu made a precise shot to the right of Didi Papardelas. Piquirenda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Roberto Iratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cedric Van Langhendoncx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Bernal in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Bernal in the 87th minute of play forced Lunar Park's goalkeeper Cedric Van Langhendoncx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lunar Park getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ramiro Nastasio hit a great ball. Cedric Van Langhendoncx came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Piquirenda FC's Eugenio Bernal. But to his dismay, Eugenio Bernal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The Lunar Park players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
