Sarı kaya FK's Ahmet Ege Yalaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Sarı kaya FK from getting a goal against them. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hayrettin Yaşam in the 17th minute of the match. Sarı kaya FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kent Drake in the 19th minute. Benjamin Vennersten made a great header on Sarı kaya FK's corner, it was just that Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Ladislao Gerazan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ahmet Ege Yalaz to make any attempt to save it. Davut İskenderoğlu made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Luiz Fábio de Medeiros immediately put the ball in play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horaţiu Măcrinici got free with Ahmet Ege Yalaz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute Hayrettin Yaşam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickaël Maris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Davut İskenderoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarı kaya FK the free kick. After 45 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Davut İskenderoğlu. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
