Tavs Kirck made in the 11th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Vieri however managed to control. If Arnaldo Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Basajaun in the 12th minute of play forced Vc Brye's goalkeeper Henri-Patrick De Mare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariusz Komornicki made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gabríel Vassaras sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Arnaldo Basajaun made a precise shot to the right of Henri-Patrick De Mare. Vc Brye's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vc Brye's Henri-Patrick De Mare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Trigo in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Mariusz Komornicki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stefan Ciemiega. 28 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Basajaun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Henri-Patrick De Mare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henri-Patrick De Mare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Vc Brye's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Basajaun came free, but Henri-Patrick De Mare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Basajaun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariusz Komornicki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Vieri went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Arnaldo Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henri-Patrick De Mare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Basajaun in the 67th minute of play. Mariusz Komornicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Cutean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Mariusz Komornicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Cianci in the 83rd minute of play. Vc Brye's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Arnaldo Basajaun scored to the left of an out of position Henri-Patrick De Mare, making the score, 2-3. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Henrique Meireles was substituted for Winnie Winger. Henri-Patrick De Mare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute Henrique Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henri-Patrick De Mare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Vc Brye's much stronger midfield.
