Zé Gato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabríel Vassaras's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Henri-Patrick De Mare didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens-Erik Bryngelsson went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. SITIO CITY's Zé Gato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabríel Vassaras in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Jens-Erik Bryngelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henri-Patrick De Mare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SITIO CITY's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rubim Jordão in the 24th minute. It was a well-played corner which Carlos Garcia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Henri-Patrick De Mare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Mariano Moya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Carlos Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henri-Patrick De Mare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Vc Brye's Gabríel Vassaras ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Gato. Zé Gato yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 43rd minute Gabríel Vassaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Gato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabríel Vassaras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Gato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Vieri in the 51st minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Mariano Moya threw the ball into play from the sideline. SITIO CITY's Adolfo Pimenta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 61 played minutes Vc Brye got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Moya. SITIO CITY made a substitution. SITIO CITY's Jens-Erik Bryngelsson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mariano Moya in the 69 minute of the game. 70 minutes into the match, SITIO CITY's Luís Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henri-Patrick De Mare narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Vieri in the 71st minute of play forced SITIO CITY's goalkeeper Zé Gato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vc Brye's Henri-Patrick De Mare proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Vc Brye from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, SITIO CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Gabríel Vassaras came free, but Zé Gato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henri-Patrick De Mare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Cristian Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Gato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Vc Brye failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
