Arian Beqaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Verna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Beek City's Arian Beqaj got control of the ball when Delmiro Etxekopar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fausto LaGarde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vahdet Ulumeriç might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Leiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vahdet Ulumeriç ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Zapolski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arian Beqaj came out and tried to block the shot, but Arturo Zapolski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. Thiago Leiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vahdet Ulumeriç went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Vahdet Ulumeriç left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beek City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Angel Maura charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
