The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arian Beqaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arian Beqaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Ming Sheng in the 14th minute of play. Jean-Louis Ouaddou in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Martin Crețu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 24th minute of play forced Beek City's goalkeeper Arian Beqaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ivar Lindqvist got free in front of the goal in the 58th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Arian Beqaj was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Louis Ouaddou in the 61st minute of the match. Stiinta-Univ. were furious when Aurel Panait was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Louis Ouaddou in the 84th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivar Lindqvist got free with Arian Beqaj in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomasz Gacek hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ivar Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arian Beqaj having to interfere. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
