Nick Heesen took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Dziatkowski. Alfred Dziatkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 36th minute of the game Gregorio Urtsin made a throw-in which Ditlev Delmont played forward. In the 39th minute, Nick Heesen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Dziatkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Zygmunt Jarmulowicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Hagberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Zygmunt Jarmulowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Dziatkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 57th minute of play. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 58th minute of the match. Alfred Dziatkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Heesen in the 60th minute of the match. If Ditlev Delmont had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Nick Heesen put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfred Dziatkowski. Alfred Dziatkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Jarmulowicz in the 91st minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ágætis Byrjun walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
