In the 20th minute Pan Chao Yan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xiao Ting Yang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jordi Scherz who took care of the corner kick. The corner led AFC United's Isaac Fernandez to fire away a dangerous shot which Xiao Ting Yang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Arraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Almkvist in the 37th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Lei Bin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Higinio Arraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC United's supporters rose to their feet, but Higinio Arraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
