With a little luck, Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold got control of the ball when Christian Almkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Almkvist came free, but Bolo Skjold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Protegéerna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Michael Näver in the 14th minute. Jakob Lundin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Xiao Ting Yang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Lundin in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Protegéerna's Ossi Eloranta got a free kick in the 18th minute. Bolo Skjold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Almkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
