Zeledon Manex kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Oliverio Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabricio Jakes's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Oliverio Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saturnino Romo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
