Marcial Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Bomba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcial Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peep Pronk in the 26th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Chiquinho Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Peep Pronk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chiquinho Romero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arrecifes's Chiquinho Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peep Pronk in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Peep Pronk notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Arrecifes's Chiquinho Romero. Chiquinho Romero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peep Pronk was the one to do the kick off. Chiquinho Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peep Pronk, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 58th match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Nicholas to maneuver through the defense. Chiquinho Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Alvaro Errando could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Chiquinho Romero however easily saved by the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Gilberto Jakobe notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of AC LeX Luthor's Maurício Bomba. Maurício Bomba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chiquinho Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Errando in the 90th minute of the match. If Higinio Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
