Arrecifes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vitor Beckenbauer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ATHLETICO PRaiano's Vitor Beckenbauer to fire away a dangerous shot which Chiquinho Romero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Afonso Tremura hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Chiquinho Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes in the game Vilhelm Skoog did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Unax Mudarra.
