Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Samurai's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Afşar Uçuk took the corner. Elvio Burualla made a great header on Blue Mountain State's corner, it was just that Samurai's Vince Di Cola managed to reach the ball for a save. Karol Panasewicz ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Panasewicz came free, but Vince Di Cola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Baican to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Blue Mountain State's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
