The Juventus PTM fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Juventus PTM's Raimundo Espírito Santo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Giraldo to make the kick off. Juventus PTM's Petre Mitică was substituted for Vidar Albäck. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Nuno Malafaia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Osvaldinho Messias, made in the 69th minute of the game. The throw-in from Koray Karan in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Cyryl Adamowicz. Roch Grondzki made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Ferdinand Honcioiu sent off a good shot on target. If Ferdinand Honcioiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roch Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yenal Tanır in the 94th minute of play. Armando Gazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Giraldo in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Juventus PTM had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
