The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silverio Sergi during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Victorino Frederik came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Goral Zywiec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Frederik couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gabriele Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor got control of the ball when Victorino Frederik tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Goral Zywiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beniamin Zarobski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maciej Dulka. After some careless play in the Goral Zywiec defense, Arturo Roderigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Krawczyk. The Goral Zywiec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Krawczyk should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 92nd minute of play forced Goral Zywiec's goalkeeper Michael Krawczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Goral Zywiec players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Menchu FC.
