Haji Sarap didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dariusz Wos went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 32 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Ulbak. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Arce in the 37th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dariusz Wos during the 41st minute.
