Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edgardo Lleir made the kick off which started today's match. João Carlos Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Edgardo Lleir got a free kick in the 4th minute. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Carlos Alberto Viana sped through Falckner FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amancio Paez. Edgardo Lleir in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vitor José, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ladislao Mazurkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Gaspar came free, but Amancio Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitor José made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Lleir in the 19th minute. Genaro Frechoso's late challenge caught a S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Frechoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Genaro Frechoso hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Corderun. In the 31st minute, Edgardo Lleir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Carlos Alberto Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dionisio Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Laurendi's late challenge caught a S.E.R. After 41 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Laurendi. Amancio Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's zone, Wilfredo Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitor José came out of the goal and Wilfredo Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amancio Paez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Mazurkiewicz went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 55 minutes into the game, Jonathan Alvarez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Falckner FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E.R. Caxias do Sul the free kick. Jonathan Alvarez kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Dionisio Emesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Vitor José tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Edgardo Lleir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Negri. Haroldo Eufemio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitor José. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Túlio Negri hit a great ball. After 77 minutes of play, Falckner FC's Wilfredo Gil made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitor José was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Manuel Laurendi hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Wilfredo Gil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitor José was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Flávio Fonseca got a free kick in the 95th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Falckner FC's Genaro Frechoso tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
