Vitor José made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Abeitia in the 3rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Flávio Fonseca put in a rough tackle. In the 7th minute, Flávio Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitor José was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rolando Furtado. 10 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Macias came free, but Vitor José reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Mello hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Vitor José was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alejo Abajas. The supporters of Zuberbühler FC booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitor José was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rolando Furtado. The crowd rose to their feet as Zuberbühler FC's Gustavo Cordaryal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitor José. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. Zuberbühler FC's Siro Dantel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Viana in the 32nd minute of play. Vitor José made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Apolo Abeitia sent off a good shot on target. Apolo Abeitia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 45th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Viana made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Apolo Abeitia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zuberbühler FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 54th minute Apolo Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor José saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Vitor José played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Cordaryal in the 57th minute of play. When Zuberbühler FC's Adan Macias in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie prevented a goal. S.E.R. Vitor José showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Abeitia, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, one of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Zuberbühler FC. Rolando Furtado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vitor José. 4-0. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Zuberbühler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitor José came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Zuberbühler FC's Apolo Abeitia. But to his dismay, Apolo Abeitia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Zuberbühler FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
