Generoso Lixandro hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Carlos Alberto Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Oinatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Punk Fiction defense, Túlio Negri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Segundo Oinatz. The Punk Fiction fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Segundo Oinatz should have stopped the shot. Flávio Fonseca made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Punk Fiction's Fidel Faro. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Viana made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Carlos Alberto Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Oinatz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Carlos Gaspar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Segundo Oinatz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vitor José showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Handi, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Punk Fiction's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Carlos Alberto Viana scored to the left of an out of position Segundo Oinatz, making the score, 0-4. A collision led to Punk Fiction getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Celso Valerio hit a great ball. Punk Fiction's Segundo Oinatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Punk Fiction from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Túlio Negri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Segundo Oinatz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 89 minutes into the game, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Carlos Alberto Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Segundo Oinatz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Donato Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
