With a left leg Basilio Justin saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Basilio Justin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Cido Guerra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basilio Justin, 1-0. Cido Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Wilfredo Gaxan's late challenge caught a Villaverde Celeste Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Gaxan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giuliano David to make the kick off. Cido Guerra struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Basilio Justin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villaverde Celeste Clube. 55 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Jonatan Felipo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Frederico Godoi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frederico Godoi got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Leonardo Paulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Cido Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuliano David scored 2-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Justin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
