The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuliano David got free with Filip Mirciulescu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Giuliano David put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Filip Mirciulescu. In the 25th minute, Cido Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Frederico Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villaverde Celeste Clube's protests and gave Frederico Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cido Guerra in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Mirciulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th match minute, Villaverde Celeste Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuliano David to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giuliano David to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Geovanni Paranaense got control of the ball when Sandu Bâru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cido Guerra struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Filip Mirciulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villaverde Celeste Clube. After 80 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Giuliano David. 87 minutes into the match, Wilton Berger notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of BVB 09's Filip Mirciulescu. Filip Mirciulescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Berger in the 93rd minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Filip Mirciulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded BVB 09 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Villaverde Celeste Clube.
