Decathlon Dudes were furious when Michael Broers was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 47 minutes of play, Decathlon Dudes's Felix Janus made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitor José was left in no man's land by his defense there! The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Decathlon Dudes were winning 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Deinse made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Viana notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Decathlon Dudes's Gerrit Kemper. Gerrit Kemper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Decathlon Dudes the free kick. Alex Deinse who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Vitor José when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 63 minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bart Schild who took care of the corner kick. After 67 minutes, Wesley van Rhijn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Decathlon Dudes and the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vitor José tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Decathlon Dudes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than S.E.R. Caxias do Sul throughout the match.
