ManagerZone Crew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Ununger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, River Plate.'s goal looked a bit too open when Peter Linkhorst came free, but Héctor Gaviria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, ManagerZone Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Schulle to maneuver through the defense. Héctor Gaviria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Ununger in the 13th minute of the match. Héctor Gaviria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Ununger, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 16 played minutes ManagerZone Crew got a freekick which was hit by Robert Ununger. Patrick Armstrong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Evangelista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match, Adrian Våleman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Héctor Gaviria saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Anibal Camerino made the kick off in the second half. Héctor Gaviria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorbjörn Olerius in the 53rd minute of the match. Héctor Gaviria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Ununger in the 57th minute of play. ManagerZone Crew's Patrick Armstrong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save ManagerZone Crew from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorbjörn Olerius in the 61st minute of play forced River Plate.'s goalkeeper Héctor Gaviria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
