An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy-Floyd Sung in the 31st minute of play forced U21 Macedonia's goalkeeper Balluš Spasev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Macedonia's Stamen Šiškov got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Balluš Spasev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 김 석, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute, Lee Kang made a precise shot to the right of Balluš Spasev. U21 Macedonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.

In the 72nd match minute, U21 South Korea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 김 만 to maneuver through the defense. Lee Kang hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes, U21 Macedonia's Anastas Mojsovski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Harry Kane came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 Macedonia reached it. After 75 played minutes U21 Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Nenad Kitanovski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmy-Floyd Sung got free with Balluš Spasev in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stamen Šiškov hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
