In the 30th minute of the match Teodelina FC got a corner. Seagulls's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Urbano Rami ran over to the corner to take the kick. Urbano Rami made a great header on Teodelina FC's corner, it was just that Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes managed to reach the ball for a save. 34 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Milio came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Teodelina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Popken came free, but Jesus Flor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Joost Smeekes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Milio's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute, Santos Bazkoare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seagulls's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
