After 14 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Abad. San Lorenzo's Delmiro Tabor got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Tabor came free, but Giuseppe de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Tabor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Saiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Celestino Toro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Giuseppe de Carvalho. Saiko FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Toro in the 47th minute of play forced Saiko FC's goalkeeper Giuseppe de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Celestino Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Giuseppe de Carvalho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wanderson Trigo's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anier Oidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 姚旭杰 in the 82nd minute of the match.
