Karin Benzema charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karin Benzema the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan-Joost Smeekes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Crawford in the 32nd minute. Neil Crawford did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Jan-Joost Smeekes 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Nytäppet Fc's Sandu Cârlan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan-Joost Smeekes. Jan-Joost Smeekes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Wilco Owusu Abeyie made the kick off in the second half. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheng Zhou Rong in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th minute Neil Crawford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Nytäppet Fc's Cheng Zhou Rong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nytäppet Fc were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Seagulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Theo Svensson took the corner.
