In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 1-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Indiana Jones elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 24th minute Indiana Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ciriaco Macias. That made the score 2-1 after 27 minutes of play. Jardel Sanches stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristo Basajaun's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipis Karapatakis. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pipis Karapatakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ciriaco Macias made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pipis Karapatakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Nereo Frederico got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Øyvind Rovik. In the 55th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heigo Luiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes Grêmio FBPA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gavril Bosioc who took care of the corner kick. The corner led C.A.Independiente's Gavril Bosioc to fire away a dangerous shot which Jardel Sanches despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ciriaco Macias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pipis Karapatakis went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Ciriaco Macias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 66th minute of play. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 71st minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Jones in the 82nd minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Macias was left in no man's land by his defense there! C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Lorenzo Rosas replaced Heigo Luiga. C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Javier Milei replaced Indiana Jones. If Javier Milei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94thth minute Nereo Frederico easily got through Grêmio FBPA's defense and fired away a shot, but Jardel Sanches leaped left and performed a fabulous save. After 96 minutes Grêmio FBPA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gavril Bosioc who took care of the corner kick. The Grêmio FBPA support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
