The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Habo Grindavík's Barri Hauksson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amadeus Reffelmann. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. Hermann Geerdes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Fjörnir Guðbjartsson kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Habo Grindavík getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Fjörnir Vilmarsson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Habo Grindavík's zone, Gerold Wagner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betúel Jósefsson came out of the goal and Gerold Wagner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AMs FC Bayern München booed when Habo Grindavík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brjánn Ingvarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Geirarður Knútsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AMs FC Bayern München's Amadeus Reffelmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geirarður Knútsson took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeus Reffelmann. Amadeus Reffelmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geirarður Knútsson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeus Reffelmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Habo Grindavík's Geirarður Knútsson in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AMs FC Bayern München's goalie prevented a goal. Amadeus Reffelmann stood somewhat misplaced when Geirarður Knútsson came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. AMs FC Bayern München's Amadeus Reffelmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Safír Geislason in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, AMs FC Bayern München was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermann Geerdes to maneuver through the defense. After 34 played minutes AMs FC Bayern München got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Besser. After some careless play in the AMs FC Bayern München defense, Ernst Játmundsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeus Reffelmann. The AMs FC Bayern München fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeus Reffelmann should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geirarður Knútsson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeus Reffelmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AMs FC Bayern München's Amadeus Reffelmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save AMs FC Bayern München from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, Geirarður Knútsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeus Reffelmann. AMs FC Bayern München's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geirarður Knútsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Goði Larsson put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Habo Grindavík's Goði Larsson got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 54 played minutes Habo Grindavík got a freekick which was hit by Fjörnir Vilmarsson. Gerold Wagner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Betúel Jósefsson made a huge save. Habo Grindavík's Safír Geislason got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Clemens Küntzel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AMs FC Bayern München's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Habo Grindavík the free kick. Betúel Jósefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemens Küntzel in the 62nd minute of play. Betúel Jósefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Rohde, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barri Hauksson in the 65th minute of play forced AMs FC Bayern München's goalkeeper Amadeus Reffelmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AMs FC Bayern München's Amadeus Reffelmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Játmundsson in the 67th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, AMs FC Bayern München's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Játmundsson came free, but Amadeus Reffelmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Safír Geislason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Habo Grindavík's goalkeeper Betúel Jósefsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rocky Besser. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by AMs FC Bayern München's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Geirarður Knútsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Habo Grindavík's players had a chance to rest. When Fjörnir Vilmarsson fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Habo Grindavík's protests and gave Fjörnir Vilmarsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Fjörnir Vilmarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Safír Geislason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AMs FC Bayern München's Amadeus Reffelmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barri Hauksson in the 88th minute of play. Amadeus Reffelmann came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Habo Grindavík's Safír Geislason. But to his dismay, Safír Geislason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Amadeus Reffelmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Safír Geislason in the 94th minute of play. Betúel Jósefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermann Geerdes in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Habo Grindavík were the better team. Habo Grindavík's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
